The images and resources stored on our web server are all within the public domain. As such, none of the images on this site are subject to copyright.

The digitization of public domain works has been found to be insufficient in variation or originality to be considered a new work (see Bridgeman Art Library, Ltd. v. Corel Corp., 36 F. Supp. 2d 191 (S.D.N.Y. 1999)); moreover the time and effort of digitization (commonly referred to as "the sweat of the brow" argument, does not give the parties involved with digitization control over the resulting image (see Feist Publications, Inc., v. Rural Telephone Service Co., 499 U.S. 340 (1991))
